A Fine Day at Keystone, Colorado

Sean and I had a fun time playing on our downhill bikes at Keystone Bike Park today.  Afterwards we enjoyed some fine food at the Wolf Rock Steakhouse.  Awesome day outside with all my favorites - Sean, Moab, Bishop, and BIKES!!!
Sean took this photo of Amber enjoying one of several rock gardens at Keystone.

Sean also captured this shot of Amber playing on some drops.

Check out the sky.  Yes, there was a lightning hold on the lift today, but no worries...lots of riding well into evening once the lift reopened.

The doggies enjoyed some water on the pass getting to and from Keystone.  Here is Moab standing in the water while Bishop is running all over the place outside of camera range.

Another photo of rock gardens because Amber loves rock gardens.

PROGRT #6 Angel Fire, NM

I had a fun weekend riding bikes in Angel Fire, NM.  In my race run I was off my bike twice crashed onto the ground the first time, and crashed into a tree the second time.  The second crash managed to knock my lever out of place.  I tried to adjust it while continuing on course, but couldn't get it back in place.  So, I had to race the second half of the course with no ability to shift gears, which was a bummer as I was stuck in a super wrong gear.  I guess the best way to put it, is that I was happy to get a 2nd place result and disappointed with my overall performance.  I sure hope to stay off the ground and keep the bike rolling in my next race.  The good news is, I'm a bit bruised from my two crashes, but that's the worst of it.  Other than that, I am feeling good, and ready to go train.  Riding bikes is awesome fun!

ProGRT #2 Fontana

I've been back from California for about a week now, and I'm still so happy that I went and had such a fun time out there relaxing with Sean and racing bikes.  The sunshine was out the entire time.  Shuttling in the Red Bull vehicle was fun, and riding the steep bits on the course was fun too!

Amber on a steep bit surrounded by a bit of  a crowd.

Race fun!

Shuttle!

Had a solid race run on the top of the course, caught my 30 second rider in front of me and got stopped behind her for a bit, made an effort pedaling on the wall, and the numbers stacked up like this...got some work to do...

The Overalls in the ProGRT now stack up like this.

Bootleg Canyon ProGRT #1 Reaper Madness

It was a hot weekend near Vegas in Boulder City, NV.  And it was also a super fun weekend overall with four days of good riding under my belt.  I survived an early season Super D to get a 3rd Place, and I had some bad luck and crashed twice in my Downhill race run.  Fortunately, my bike took most of the hits, so I came out basically unscathed with just some bruises to ice.  Downhill Mike put on a great event and I appreciated the prizes and the cash.
Super D Pro Women's Podium - Survived a HOT day and ended up with a 3rd Place Podium
One of my finer moments during my DH run when I was still upright.
 More Downhill Fun!
Breathing through a long Super D course.
More Super D fun!

Royal Racing Gear Test - Winter! Yes, it's still winter!

It's good to know that all the gear is breathable, so that when the sun comes out it is still not too hot.

A bit of hiking up and a bit of riding down!

Judging by the wintry conditions outside my door today, I feel confident stating that it is in fact still winter.  Not to worry, I took this as a perfect opportunity to test out some Royal gear, and a near blizzard provided an excellent time to blog about it.  I'm sure that I will be back outside playing on my bike soon, but for the moment, I need to go shovel some snow.
